What I study

Philosophical equation of the day: historical axiom (relation -> given terms) -> modes of operation -> operational combination -> culture. Cool eh? What does this little equation mean and why does it matter? Well the meaning is simple: the history of society determines how the society operates. The combinations of such operations create culture. I didn't make it up, I swear! Rather, I pulled it from de Certeau's The Practice of Everyday Life. Why does it matter? I'll get back to you on that one. :)

Sometimes I believe that I'm getting a Being (intellectually) Arrogant degree or what is commonly known as a BA. At these times, joining the circus seems ideal. But for all my complaints and misgivings, I love higher education. I'm going to miss it.
